Even as a young child, Ankie was searching for a way to express herself. After secondary school, Ankie attended an educational academy and became a teacher. But after five years in education, she needed to find a way to express her creative energy. So she went to a conservatory to study music. During this time, she visited a dollmakers' exhibition. From that moment on, she was sure what my life work would be -- a dollmaker. That happened 20 years ago, and she is still making dolls today.
